SOCHUM

The Social, Humanitarian, and Cultural Committee (SOCHUM) is the third General Assembly of the United Nations. Mainly focusing on the humanitarian, social, and human rights issues from around the world, the topics this committee raises and discusses include but are not limited to: women and children rights, global literacy, the treatment of refugees and indigenous people, the EU migrant crisis, international drug control, crime prevention, and the elimination of racism and discrimination. SOCHUM is open to both the most experienced debaters as well as first timers, and requires thorough research, deep critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
