Being an animal lover and an advocator of animal right it’s a matter of mammoth pleasure and absolute honor to chairone of the specialized committees WWF-World Wild Fund at Forman Model United Nation. I am Muhammad Omer Imran, a graduate of Forman Christian College pursuing Bachelors in Business Studies. Forman Christian College, one of the oldest institutions of Pakistan, established in 1864, celebrating its 150th anniversary this year, instilled me all genre of attributes required for Public Speaking. But, besides that, there are plethora of factors which describe me well. Love of dogs, instilling a sense of loyalty, has been there ever since I got my nerves in control. Having completed my degree in integrated subjects, I am looking forward to pursue Educational development studies, another core competent subject to be mastered, where I expect to excel in policy making related to education.
February 2011: I landed at the stage of diplomacy –MUNs – and since then, it has become an important part of my life. Laying foundations of MUN society at Forman Christian College to lead it to organize one of notable MUNs, FORMUN, in Asia the journey was expectedly full of lows and highs, but giving up had never been an option there. Alongside chairing various MUNs I’ve served as Secretary General FORMUN’14-that was the last edition of this particular MUN. Being institutionalized to representing my college at both, national and international platforms, with bringing laurels back to Forman has been a matter of utmost honor. I strongly believe in empowering younger generation to let them use their talents and capabilities to optimality; where they can be of utmost use for humanity and global prosperity.
With this I hold the very novel record of serving debating and MUN society simultaneously at Forman Christian College. It is with this streak of successes to my name that I’m awarded with a very prestigious “Role of Honor” in Parliamentary debates and MUNs at Forman Christian College.
About the committee,it’s the first time in Pakistan’s MUN circuit, we are having this specialized committee, so we can create awareness about animal rights and the environmental issues that they face globally.
“The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.”
― Mahatma Gandhi
That was the serious side of it, now, let’s break some ice and it’s going to be fun committee and Yes, I am an animal lover, so you can bring your pets alongwith your committee directors. Few facts about the chair – if I get late,I’ll buy food for the whole committee because we need to respect time, so pray that I get late. I’ll try my best to make your 3 days, the most memorable ones and a quote for the first timers “The expert in anything was once a beginner “ so don’t worry about it and jump in the sea of Model UN.
See you in January 2015.
God Bless you all!

Anqa SalamCo-Chair WWF
Greetings!
My name is Anqa Salam and it is my distinct pleasure to welcome you all to the 3rd edition of FORMUN. This year I am honored to serve as the Committee Director for one of the specialized committees, The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). I am currently working at a gaming studio after graduating from University of the Punjab, majoring in Graphic Design.
I have an avid love for public speaking that has kept me actively involved in the MUN circuit for quite some time. I have earned a significant amount of laurels both nationally and internationally for my university at various Model UN conferences including SPRIMUN in France and MUIMUN in Germany.

Having the arty side has amplified my love for nature and I strongly believe a bit of our attention can help us to retain the intrinsic side of Mother Earth. FORMUN has provided a platform where we can diplomatically discuss and bring in recognition the possibilities to conserve the flora & fauna across the globe. The level of debate however depends entirely upon the creativity and the quality of argument that will ensue and delegates are expected to not only present solutions to the topics at hand, but to be innovative and think outside the box.
Rest apart, my life revolves around two things, food and Manchester United. If it is the same for you, Glory Glory my foodie delegate! We’re surely going to have a great time.
Happy researching!
