The United Nations Interregional Criminal and Justice Research Institute works among the global community to prevent and research crime related issues. Prevention, consequences and dealing with crime and criminal justice is something every country has to face in the 21st century. It often involves more than one nation. This is where UNICRI comes in, to intercept crime, encourage well organized judicial systems and facilitate law enforcement. UNICRI covers a wide range of global issues such as chemical/biological crimes, cybercrimes, international security, counter-terrorism etc.
